Choose the Recruiting track and teach Echo your interview notes, client briefings, CV template and client email.
Choose Recruiting for its meeting setups, suggestions and CV Out. Formats, live help and the Hire connection are optional. Candidate shortlist access is separate from Work type.
Pick Recruiting when Echo first asks What kind of work do you do?, or later in Settings › Account & workspace › Work type.Recruiting switches your Echo Agent suggestions to the recruiting set and adds Create CV Out. Your in-meeting Quick Actions switch to the recruiter set too, unless you’ve customized them. The current default Meeting Types are General meeting, Candidate interview and Client briefing; Meeting Types you created are preserved. Older accounts may retain a type named Client intake.Work type alone grants neither candidate shortlist access nor a higher AI allowance. See Plans and AI usage.
This setup is available in desktop version 0.1.87 for Mac and Windows. Earlier builds may show the four-format setup described below. See Release status for changes that still await a release.
Set up with Echo asks up to three questions about your meetings, then proposes Meeting Types with Final Notes instructions and optional modules. Recruiting commonly proposes Candidate interview, Client briefing and Hiring manager debrief where they aren’t already present. It doesn’t silently change your own Meeting Types.Review each type, edit its Final Notes and modules, or ask Echo to revise the proposal. Select Looks good to apply it; nothing changes just because you read a proposal. An explicit request can also edit or remove an existing custom Meeting Type. You can rerun setup from Set up with Echo under Work type in Settings. This interview doesn’t ask for a calendar connection, CV Template or Client Email Format. Starting CV Out without an approved CV Template opens the template step then; Use Echo’s standard layout instead lets you continue with the default. Check that layout and branding before sending a CV.
If your installed build offers four format steps after you choose Recruiting, use the instructions in this section. The screenshots show that earlier flow. Each step is optional, and saved formats remain useful after setup changes.
Format
What you give Echo
Where Echo uses it
Candidate interview notes

Client briefing notes
An example or a description

Your CV format
Your Word template, or a CV you’ve already formatted (.docx, up to 20 MB)
Formatted CVs in CV Out and in Echo Agent
Your email format
One email you send clients when you introduce a candidate, with its subject
Add an example, or select Describe it instead and write what you want. For example: “Use sections for Experience, Motivation, Package & availability, and Next steps. Call out anything missing.”
Select Preview. Echo shows a sample built on fictional data so you can see the shape.
If it’s right, select Save interview format or Save briefing format. Otherwise select Edit format and try again. Use default keeps Echo’s standard notes.
Saving a notes format replaces that Meeting Type’s How Echo writes the wrap instructions. The other formats stay as they are.
Drop your Word template on the page. Echo writes a CV for a fictional candidate into it, the way CV Out will, and you can download that sample to check it. Select Save CV format to use it, or Use this format if you already have a template saved. Use default keeps Echo’s standard CV.
Echo fills your template with the candidate’s details and keeps your layout, fonts, header and logo, including the formatting inside a line, such as a bold label before its value or a date aligned to the right. It works with ordinary Word paragraphs, tables and text boxes. It can’t use a template with fields, tracked changes, content controls, macros or embedded objects, and it tells you why when it can’t use a file. Comments are removed, and links keep their look but aren’t clickable.
Until you add your own template, Echo uses Skillflo Talent’s standard CV, which carries the Skillflo Talent name and logo and your email address. Add your template before you send CVs to clients.
Paste one email you send clients, with its subject, and select Preview. Echo drafts a fictional example in your format and notes that it will flag missing CV, notes or job description details. Select Save & finish, or Edit subject & format to change it.
A sample alone never changes anything; only saving does. If a preview fails, your last saved format stays in use.
Open Settings › Account & workspace. With Recruiting selected, Recruiter formats has Manage formats, and CV template has Upload, Replace and Remove. A saved interview or briefing format shows as Customized under How Echo writes the wrap in that Meeting Type.
The four-format wizard and its screenshots above describe earlier builds. On desktop version 0.1.87, initial setup uses Set up with Echo; you can still manage saved formats in Settings.
Questions to ask and FAQ Answers start off, interviews included. Open Settings › Meeting types › Candidate interview, switch on what you want, and select Save changes. A good starting set is Questions to ask and FAQ Answers. See Run a candidate interview.
Candidate shortlists need account access through a referral, paid plan or administrator. Selecting Recruiting alone does not provide that access. See Search for candidates and build a shortlist.Candidate shortlist access and balances are separate from general AI usage. An unlimited AI pilot doesn’t grant shortlists or remove search-specific safeguards. See Plans and AI usage for the current allowance and rollout status.Your paid-plan, referral or administrator access is separate from Work type. Changing Work type does not grant it.
